Here is what some of our clients have to say:

To whom it may concern:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Dave Johnson, an ACT/SAT tutor with A+ Tutoring & Test Prep.
Each one of my children has unique learning needs with specific learning challenges. Initially, Dave came to us as the SAT/ACT prep tutor for just one teen, but soon the other kids realized what a resource he was and asked me to change out their tutors for Dave. Dave prepared each one of them with dedication, patience and a level of professionalism I have rarely seen in an educator. All three excelled beyond our expectations on the standardized tests. More importantly, the process by which Dave prepared them built more than their skills in test-taking, essay development, Math and English. Dave's approach is to build confidence and help the student acquire essential learning skills - how to think.
Because he takes the work seriously, he models excellent learning behavior. He truly assists the student to achieve, no mean feat. Their achievement becomes the basis of their self-esteem and entire new worlds open up for them. I have seen it with my own children. I did not expect this from SAT/ACT prep but each of my children is now a better person than before; better prepared for the rigors of college and each has more confidence in his/her own abilities to succeed. Personally, I had lost a little faith in education, having suffered so many poor teachers and tutors over the years. Dave has renewed my faith in teaching as a profession. I would rank him in the top one percent of all teachers I have come to know over the years from my experience with my own children who have had numerous tutors and attended both public and private schools. Dave's intelligence and dedication to his craft makes him the consummate professional. In the words of my son, who with Dave's help was able to score in the 94th percentile on the writing portion of the ACT: "Dave knows what he is doing." Scores aside, the serious approach at A+ Tutoring helped my kids succeed, despite any limitations they had- a priceless outcome and an outcome for which we will be eternally grateful.
I have always felt that each child truly learns differently but all can succeed. What I discovered now after years of teachers and tutors is that a good teacher helps everyone in the style they learn best. Dave is one of those rare teachers who loves to teach and will help everyone in the classroom from the least to the most gifted. His intelligence and genuine concern for students will earn him the respect of his students. He is aware of students' needs and their distractions; he respects their age and who they are but he is still able to achieve the highest educational goals. His dedication to his profession will earn him the respect of parents and his peers. Indeed, Dave is the kind of teacher a school would want to review and mentor other teachers. Dave listens to the students and to the parents. I guarantee that any student Dave teaches will improve, any classroom he teaches is in will be a model learning environment and any school at which he teaches will graduate successful students. In addition, Dave will engender a lifelong love of learning and a passion in students for whatever topic he teaches. I recommend him without exception.
Respectfully submitted,
Lois W. Sayrs, Ph.D. parent of Daniel, Aaron and Hayley

To whom it may concern,
This letter of recommendation is written for Dave Johnson and in support of his desired advancement in his position as a teacher. I highly recommend Dave Johnson of A+ Tutoring and Test Prep, LLC and can personally attest to his expert qualifications, ability to connect to a student, and his superior dedication.
My son had taken both the ACT and SAT tests numerous times and struggled each time to achieve the required scores of the Academy. We had purchased the SAT study discs, the daily SAT flashcards, and even attended a one day prep class that was offered by the school. All of these test preparation materials were accomplished with negative results. As a "last ditch" effort I sought the help of a tutor who came highly recommended, Dave Johnson.
In early 2010 my son's childhood dream of attending a military academy was quickly diminishing, a direct result of his performance on the standardized test scores. His resume was unsurpassed, having all the required leadership qualities, community involvement activities, and school grades required by the United States Armed Forces Academies. As a parent who had worked side by side with my son for four years, helping to groom him for his desired appointment, I felt helpless.
Dave upon his initial meeting with me, reviewed my son's previous test scores, developed an aggressive action plan, and committed to me that he would work relentlessly to help him accomplish his dream of attending an academy within the United States Armed Forces. Throughout the weeks that he partnered with my son, Dave demonstrated an unbelievable ability to connect with my teenage son. My son had a very high level of respect for Dave and it was comforting to see that Dave provided a feeling of safety to my son, helping him to realize that he would accomplish the required scores on his ACT with his continued hard work and effort. Dave had a talent at teaching and was able to guide my son through more advanced topics with no problem. He was extremely organized, providing me with feedback as to where my son currently was in his studies as well as what was still required in order for him to advance. He was reliable despite the many miles he was required to travel to meet with my son at the agreed upon time and location.
I am very proud to say that Dave Johnson of A+ Tutoring and Test Prep, LLC is responsible for my son achieving the highly competitive ACT test scores that resulted in my son's appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy class of 2015. Dave accomplished this task with tremendous initiative, a positive attitude, and an unsurpassed level of dedication. I highly recommend Dave Johnson, without reservation, for any advancement opportunities he desires.
Sincerely,
Pamela Matheny
